AISD Marching Band Jamboree

AISD's Fine Arts Department presents the 41st Annual Band Jamboree.  The event will feature performances by AISD bands as well the UT Longhorn Band.

Admission is $3 and free for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased from and AISD high school band.

The event takes place at the Toney Burger Center, 3200 Jones Road. For more information, call the Fine Arts office at 512-414-4489.

Join AISD for the Third Annual GT Parent Education and GT Elementary Student Enrichment Event at Travis High School, 1211 E. Oltorf St. At the event, concurrent sessions will allow parents and students to explore their interests and see their options for engaging in them with AISD. No registration is required to attend.

NAHREP Raises More than $7,400 for Mendez Middle School

This August, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and its supporters raised more than $7,400 for students at Austin ISD’s Mendez Middle School.

“I am proud to see the commitment of our community and their willingness to personally invest in our youth,” said Jason Garza, president of NAHREP.

In addition to the monetary donation, the organization also provided 50 backpacks and hundreds of school supplies to students at Mendez. The generous gift alligns with the organization’s mission to empower real estate professionals to serve the community.

Covington Middle School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Covington Middle School will celebrate its new designation as a Fine Arts Academy with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the event, the school will host an open house where the community is invited to tour the campus and learn more about the new designation.
