Community Feedback Questions from May 7 Session
Since late 2019, the AISD Board of Trustees has been discussing how to translate community priorities into the next vision, mission, and values that will guide the school district in future years.
Austin ISD students, staff and community members are invited to participate in a virtual listening session Thursday, May 7 from 6--7:30 p.m. The event will focus on the on the district's 2020-2025 Strategic Plan and will be hosted by the District and our partner Studer Education, with Board of Trustee members present.
The District would appreciate feedback on the concepts below.

The event will be streamed on the district’s Facebook page and on AISD.TV for anyone to watch. A recording of the meeting will be available to watch if community members are not able to view the session live.
Individuals interested in providing comments can participate in a variety of ways. Please note that anyone wishing to provide comments must follow the instructions below prior to the event.
THREE WAYS TO SHARE YOUR COMMENTS
1) Call the public comment line to pre-record your message
Please call 512-414-0130 to record your one-minute minute remarks before 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7.
Before placing your call, please review the guidelines below.
- Please prepare your comment to be no more than one minute and consider responding to one of the guiding questions:
- What is the MOST IMPORTANT achievement for AISD students and graduates by 2025?
- How would you describe how our internal and external stakeholders should experience AISD?
- After the phone greeting, you will hear a beep indicating that the recording has started. State your name and the guiding question you are addressing.
- If you are providing your comments in Spanish, your comments will be aired in the original language followed by a reading of your comments translated into English.
- Comments will be played during the Listening Session event.
2) Register in advance to comment live
If you would like to speak during the Listening Session, please fill out the registration form below. You will then receive a confirmation email with a link to register for the virtual meeting (Zoom webinar).
3) Submit written comment
Please fill out the comment form to share your ideas with the district. Written comments will not be read aloud during the Listening Session; however, they will be provided to district administration and Trustees.
Desde finales de 2019, la mesa directiva del AISD ha estado discutiendo cómo traducir las prioridades comunitarias en la próxima visión, misión y valores que guiarán al distrito escolar en los años por venir.
Los estudiantes, el personal y la comunidad del Austin ISD están invitados a participar en una sesión que se podrá escuchar el jueves, 7 de mayo de 6-7:30 p.m. El evento se enfocará en el Plan Estratégico del distrito y estará organizado por el distrito y nuestro socio Studer Educación, con los miembros de la mesa directiva presentes.

TRES MANERAS DE COMPARTIR SUS COMENTARIOS
1) Llame a la línea de comentarios del público para grabar previamente su mensaje.
