Early Voting Now Underway, Ends Nov. 3

AISD Trustees Vote to Extend Superintendent's Contract; Superintendent Carstarphen's Employment Contract Extended to June 2015
Austin, TX—Tonight, the Austin Independent School District's Board of Trustees voted to extend the term of Superintendent Meria Carstarphen's employment contract by one year to June 2015.
AISD Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
The Austin Independent School District will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, Monday, Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 25. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. Anderson High School Excels in International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
Following the graduation of 450 seniors, Anderson High School announced that students who had earned International Baccalaureate diplomas outpaced the global average passing rate by 17 percentage points.
