2025 Summer Learning Options Middle School Future Ready Summer Camp The Austin ISD Future Ready Summer Camp is a great summer enrichment opportunity for students in grades 6–8. Community volunteers to help build picnic tables at Austin ISD
The Austin ISD community will be coming together Saturday to help build picnic tables to support outdoor lunches and learning. Students are at lower risk of COVID-19 transmission when they eat or learn outside, so Austin ISD organized the event for community members to help build tables for campuses to use as outdoor lunch or learning spaces. The hallways of Perez Elementary are filled with pythons. And they hablan español. The serpentine school mascot offering encouragement, instruction and even prompts for self-reflection to students on posters is everywhere, as are the reminders of the drive to celebrate the language that is home for the many students who trace their roots to Mexico and Central America.
