Austin ISD to Mail Learning Packets / El Austin ISD enviará paquetes de aprendizaje por correo postal
(El español está disponible abajo) AISD staff will begin mailing packets on Monday, April 27 for Pre-K–eighth grades. To reduce the number of people at curbside food distribution sites, learning packets will no longer be available at food sites. Food distribution will continue as usual. Students of families who qualify for free and reduced lunch will automatically receive these mailed packets.

District leaders are proposing a balanced budget for the 2022-23 school year, including a reduction of 632 positions to close our $87 million deficit. There’s been some confusion about how we ended up with 632 positions when earlier budget discussions focused on cutting 250 positions from Central Office.
