Board Approves Renaming of Reagan to Northeast Early College High School
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees at its Feb. 25 regular meeting approved the renaming of John H. Reagan Early College High School to Northeast Early College High School. Austin ISD Board Designates Election Day as Student Holiday
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved an update to the 2020-21 school year calendar, changing the Oct. 12 student holiday to Election Day, Nov. 3. To accommodate a student holiday for Election Day, the district moved the professional development day, previously scheduled for Monday, Oct. 12, to Nov. 3, federally recognized Election Day.

Board Approves Renaming of Lanier to Juan Navarro Early College High School
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the renaming of Sidney Lanier Early College High School to Juan Navarro Early College High School at their March 25 regular meeting. The motion was contingent upon the name clearing criteria identified in Austin ISD policy.
