AISD Closed July 6-10 for Summer Break
Offices, meal service will resume July 13 Austin ISD will be closed for one week, July 6-10, for its annual summer break. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. All AISD meal sites will also be closed during the weeklong break. The district will resume regular business hours, including summer meal service, Monday, July 13.
School Renaming Committee Meetings
2018-19 School Renaming Committee Meetings The school renaming process is entering the renaming committee phase where schools/sites will be holding their own meetings to decide on future names. Each school/site will have 2-4 meetings to decide names and rationale to advance the names to the Superintendent for recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
AISD Encourages Students to Vote Early Oct. 24–Nov. 4
Civic engagement is an important part of education at Austin ISD. The district encourages students of voting age to make their voice heard by participating in the upcoming election. Travis County is strongly encouraging early voting, which is Oct. 24–Nov. 4, preceeding election day on Nov. 8.

Over 1 Millions Caregiver Meals Distributed Through AISD Program

Dobie Middle School's College Preparatory Academy Receives National Recognition for High Performance
Austin, TX—J. Frank Dobie College Preparatory Academy has been selected as a National Demonstration Site for Advancement Via Individual Determination, a kindergarten through postsecondary school system that has supported thousands of students to become confident, college-going scholars.
Reunification
Circumstances may occur at the school that require parents to pick up their students in a formalized, controlled release. This process is called a Reunification and may be necessary due to weather, a power outage, hazmat or if a crisis occurs at the school. The Standard Reunification Method is a protocol that makes this process more predictable and less chaotic for all involved.
