The National Weather Service recently placed most of Central Texas under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. Thursday, as daytime temperatures are expected to climb to between 100 and 105 degrees. AISD Board Approves Contract, Appoints Dr. Stephanie Elizalde as Superintendent
At a special voting meeting Aug. 11 the Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved a contract appointing Dr. Stephanie Elizalde as the district's new superintendent effective Aug. 12. The Board named Dr. Elizalde as the lone finalist for superintendent at its July 21 meeting. Tonight's appointment comes after a required 21-day waiting period after the announcement of a lone finalist.

Eastside Memorial Panthers Celebrate Graduation
The Eastside Memorial Early College High School community, staff, families and friends joined together June 15 to celebrate the 2020 graduating class through a virtual ceremony.
