Kealing Middle School Teacher Awarded Prestigious Presidential Award from White House
The White House awarded Austin ISD Kealing Middle School math teacher Patty Hill a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th grade mathematics or science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States.

Donors Show Generous Support for AISD Staff and Students Affected by Oct. 31 Floods
AUSTIN, Texas--Austin ISD donors showed generous support to district students and staff members affected by the Oct. 31 flooding in Central Texas with a combined contribution of $142,900 to date.About 360 students and 25 AISD staff members lost their homes or were temporarily displaced due to extensive flood damage.
