AISD Announces Schools Frozen to Transfers for 2018-19
Austin ISD has announced the names of schools that will be frozen to transfers during the 2018–19 school year.Each year, AISD determines which schools should be frozen to transfers because they have, or are expected to have, enrollments that exceed their capacities. Implementation
Implementation in Austin ISD Beginning in 2010, SEL implementation began rolling out systems and strategies through AISD’s vertical team structure. A vertical team consists of a high school and its feeder middle and elementary schools. As of 2015–16, all schools in AISD are officially implementing SEL.
AISD Hosts First District-Wide Employee Health Fair
Austin ISD employees and their families are invited to attend the district’s first Employee Health Fair on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Crockett High School, 5601 Manchaca Road.The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will provide employees with the opportunity to meet with wellness vendors, enjoy activities, attend mini health seminars and win door prizes.

AISD Delays School Start Times and the Running of Buses Tomorrow Due to Weather
AUSTIN, Texas—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Austin area until noon tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, Austin will open schools and run district buses on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28.
