Austin ISD Encourages Eligible Families to Apply for the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer Program
The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer program could provide Austin ISD families a one-time benefit for eligible families to buy food. Families could receive up to $285 per child, which can be used in the same way as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program food benefits to pay for groceries.
Austin Ed Fund raising money for Austin ISD school name changes
The Austin Independent School District's Board of Trustees voted to move forward with renaming five district buildings named for men who served in either the Confederate military or government. Donations are being accepted to support the anticipated costs associated with changing the names of the following Austin ISD buildings:

East Austin Parents and Community Leaders Visit IDEA Flagship School
On Tuesday, November 8, a group of parents and community leaders from the Eastside Memorial Vertical Team traveled by bus to Donna, Texas for a site visit to IDEA College Prep (Donna), IDEA Public School's flagship campus.Founded in 2000, the campus has grown from 75 to 1,407 students, and recently celebrated its second year in a row graduating 100% of its seniors.
