Austin ISD Board of Trustees Appoint Police Chief
Tonight, Austin ISD’s Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Ashley Gonzalez as the new Austin ISD Police Chief. The district held a nationwide search, reviewing applicants and conducting several interviews and screenings before moving forward with Gonzalez.

AISD Opens First Modernized Campus from 2017 Bond
A packed gymnasium erupted in cheers as Principal Veronica Sharp, Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz, Ph.D., and more cut the red ribbon to celebrate the Modernized T.A. Brown Elementary School. Elementary students who sat in rows occupying most of the gym roared in excitement to begin class in their new learning environment.
