Indoor Air Quality
The average American spends 90% of their lives indoors (source). This means that the quality of indoor environments can have an impact on our health. With much of Austin’s population in our buildings, AISD strives to provide healthy indoor environments for learning, teaching, and working.

Transition Planning: Elementary through High School
Texas Parent to Parent (TXP2P) will be presenting to families from elementary through 18+ to talk about the transition planning process and transition supports. TXP2P provides support, information, and education for families of children and adults with disabilities, chronic and mental health conditions, and other health care needs. AISD Receives $4.48 Million Grant For On-Campus Mental Health Centers
The Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor has awarded Austin Independent School District a grant of almost $4.5 million. These funds will provide mental health services to elementary children and their families who are victims of crime.AISD is the first school district in Texas to receive funding from this source.
2025 Restarts
District-managed Restarts Three middle school campuses—Burnet, Dobie and Webb—will receive the most intensive support and will go through district-managed restarts for the 2025-26 school year.
