Last spring the Texas Legislature passed a new law, HB 3, requiring all Texas school districts to have at least one armed security officer at every campus during school hours.
Walking the Walk: AISD Participates in Million Mile Month

Families with Special Health Problems Could Qualify For Home Learning Program (En Español)
Students with special health problems that prevent them from coming onto campus may qualify to learn from home or the hospital. This is part of a program Austin ISD provides called Homebound Services.
