AISD to Provide Free Meals for All Students for 2021-22 School Year
When students step onto an Austin ISD campus in the 2021-22 school year, they can rest assured they’ll be able to get a healthy lunch at no cost. The United States Department of Agriculture announced on April 20 they are extending free meal benefits through June 2022, allowing Austin ISD to keep serving its free lunches.

Partnership That Helps Families and Restaurants to Continue Through December
A partnership that helps feed Austin ISD caregivers and support local restaurants will continue through December after the city of Austin voted to extend funding for the Caregiver Meal program. Austin ISD Will Serve Up Good Nutrition for Local Children This Summer
Bringing healthy summer meals to the Austin community ensures kids have a healthy vacation and return to school ready to learn. This summer, Austin ISD will serve anyone 18 years old and younger healthy meals at more than 50 campuses at no cost through the Summer Food Service Program. Both breakfast and lunch will be offered at all AISD summer meal sites.
