National Parent Involvement Day 2018
National Parent Involvement Day is a day to recognize and honor the contributions of parents and families to student success. The district welcomes all families to join their children at school Nov. 15. Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer Program Now Open For Applications
Austin ISD is encouraging eligible families to apply for one-time state-funded benefits to buy food. The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is for children enrolled in school who may have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price meals during the 2020-21 school year. $10,000 Donation Helps Pay Off Student Lunch Debt
Austin builders have raised $10,000 to help pay off the lunch debts of Austin ISD students. This effort by the Austin Infill Coalition was spearheaded by Ed Ishmael—a local lawyer and developer who builds houses on Austin’s east side.
National Food Day: AISD recognized as Good Food Institution Hero for commitment to healthy, fair, sustainable food
Today on National Food Day, Austin ISD Nutrition Services was recognized by the Center for Good Food Purchasing as a Good Food Institution Hero. AISD was named a Hero for its innovative steps taken to achieve the four-out-of-five-star ranking in the Good Food Purchasing Program.
