AISD to Resume Weekend Meal Offerings
Austin ISD Food Services has reinstated its weekend meal program, allowing families with students under the age of 19 to again pick up bundles, which include six meals, during Friday distribution. Oak Springs Students Receive Free Backpacks at Fourth Annual Event
Parents and their children were moving and dancing to a DJ’s music at Oak Springs Elementary on Monday while waiting to collect a free backpack and school supplies. While the event was an outdoor, drive-thru event, the pull of the music was too strong for some.

Modernized Govalle Elementary Opens Its Doors
The modernized Govalle Elementary celebrated its grand opening on Friday with students, families and staff in attendance. “This is the moment we have all been waiting for,” said Superintendent Paul Cruz as he and Principal Paula Reyes cut the ribbon to commemorate the grand opening of the newly modernized school.
