Crockett ECHS Principal Receives Prestigious “Champions for School Climate” Award
When you visit Crockett Early College High School, you walk into an atmosphere that is committed to equity, supportive relationships, quality teaching and learning, and a sense of belonging. These qualities were stewarded by Principal Kori Crawford which led her to earn the Champions for School Climate award by the Aspen Institute Education & Society Program.
HopeFest 2018
HopeFest, Austin's largest campus-based family resource fair, is 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Reagan Early College High School. This free event is, now in its 13th year, brings together more than 3,000 attendees with 150 exhibitors to celebrate the northeast Austin community and provide health, dental, vision, housing, employment, legal, educational, Blue Santa and other resources.

Yesterday, Austin ISD and the Rosedale School celebrated the grand opening of the new modernized campus, built as part of the 2017 Bond Program. Families, teachers and community members joined AISD and Rosedale leadership in an evening filled with joy and celebration.

Yesterday, young ladies from the Ann Richard’s School for Young Women Leaders welcomed Chelsea Clinton to their school.While touring for her new book, “It’s Your World,” Clinton made a stop in Austin to visit the school and BookPeople.The book focuses on the troubles facing the world today and what women can do to make a difference in that world.
T.A. Brown Elementary School Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Certification
An Austin ISD school received top recognition for its design and construction that emphasized sustainability and environmental responsibility. On May 6, the U.S. Green Building Council announced that it has awarded T.A. Brown Elementary School the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification.

Ann Richards School Wins $1,000 for Spoilage Tracker Idea
Students from throughout Austin ISD met at Crockett High School today to “Think It Up”—creating big ideas that can be crowdfunded on donorschoose.org.The winning idea—Green SAFE—was from Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, which won $1,000. Green SAFE is a produce spoilage tracker, with the ultimate goal of reducing the amount of food that ends up in the trash.
Earth Week
Earth Week 2025 April 21st- April 30th! Every day is Earth Day at Austin ISD! This week (and a half!) especially, we hope that everyone in our school community will take a moment to think about how they can make the earth and our community a better place and perform an action to do so.
