Pease Elementary Celebrates its Naming as a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark
Last week, AISD's Pease Elementary School celebrated its designation by the Texas Historical Commission as a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark by unveiling a historical marker in front of the school. AISD is now accepting applications for Pre-K tuition programs—including 12 dual-language programs—at 36 elementary schools.The annual tuition for the programs is $4,656 per student, payable by semester or monthly.

A recent social media campaign is encouraging donations to school districts to help offset negative balances on student meal accounts. AISD Approves Distinguished Level of Achievement as Default Graduation Plan
AUSTIN, Texas--Monday, Austin ISD's Board of Trustees established the Distinguished Level of Achievement graduation plan as the district's default graduation plan beginning with the Class of 2018.The trustees also approved the requirement of one credit of physical education and one half credit of health to meet graduation requirements for all plans beginning with the Class of 2018.
AISD’s Clint Small Middle School 2013 Spring Wind Ensemble Recognized Nationally
AUSTIN, Texas—Austin ISD is proud to announce Clint Small Middle School’s wind ensemble was a recipient of the National Wind Band Honors Mark of Excellence award presented by the Foundation for Music Education. Solo awards were won by former 8th graders Kayla Tinnon, Ethan Brown and Manny Nuñez-Ferrer.
