Austin ISD Teachers Named Finalists for 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards
Eight Central Texas area educators have been named finalists for the 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, spotlighting them as some of the best educators in Texas. Austin ISD Closed Dec. 21 - Jan. 2
Austin ISD will be closed for the winter break Wednesday, Dec. 21, through Monday, Jan. 2.All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period.Regular business hours resume Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, for staff. Coats for Kids 2018
Austin ISD has partnered with The Junior League of Austin to provide free shuttle transportation for Coats for Kids 2018. This year's event is 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. Buses begin picking up families at 7 a.m. and return every hour, beginning at 9 a.m. The last bus will leave the Palmer Events Center at 3:30 p.m.
