Historically, Austin ISD celebrates the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the annual MLK Celebration march, sponsored by the Austin Heritage Council. This year, the march and many other Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities are being modified to keep everyone safe.

Repurposing Pease Elementary School
Overview Pease Elementary School is situated on a 2.17 acre site located in downtown Austin just blocks away from the Texas State Capitol at 1106 Rio Grande Street.
