Summitt Elementary Celebrates Vietnamese New Year
Come celebrate Tết, also known as the Vietnamese New Year with Summitt Elementary students on Jan. 26 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m or on Jan. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Both events will be at the Summitt campus, 12207 Brigadoon Ln. Board Approves Calendar for 2016–17 School Year

With the board’s approval Monday night that Austin ISD become a District of Innovation, there is more flexibility in the instructional calendar.Specifically, the district is allowed to begin instruction before the fourth Monday in August.Key dates
