A Note Above: AISD’s Music Education Program Receives National Recognition
The NAMM Foundation has designated Austin ISD as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for its outstanding commitment to music education. The National Association for Music Merchants Foundation awards the designation to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.
Anderson High School Receives Delegates from Koblenz, Germany
Delegates from Koblenz, Germany—Austin’s sister city—recently paid a visit to Anderson High School as part of a celebration commemorating the 20-year relationship between the two cities. For the visit, each delegate donated a German book to the Anderson Library, while Austinites in turn donated their favorite English books to the Koblenz library.

AISD to Operate on Two-Hour Delay Tuesday, Jan. 28
This evening, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Austin area until noon tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28.
