Austin ISD to Operate on Two-Hour Delay
Austin ISD classes, buses and offices will have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to expected inclement weather. All after-school and/or outdoor activities will be brought indoors according to our temperature guidelines. Dear Austin ISD community, Due to ongoing freezing temperatures, all Austin ISD classes will be on a two hour delay Wednesday, Jan. 17. All district offices will also be on a two hour delay. All after-school and/or outdoor activities will be brought indoors according to our temperature guidelines.
Special Education Mini Conference
Visit with other families to learn about resources and how to successfully navigate the special education system. Example questions include: What should I request at ARD meetings? T. A. Brown Elementary Hosts College and Career Day Event
More than 20 Austin-area professionals visited T. A. Brown Elementary School to speak with students about college and careers. The speakers shared stories May 18 about their professions and how they used their skills and personal interests to prepare for a fulfilling career.
Thank a Librarian for National Libraries Week
This week, Austin ISD would like to recognize National Library Week, which promotes the use of libraries, and acknowledge librarians for their service to local communities. Students and families are invited to attend the Pathways in Career and Technical Education Courses Virtual Fair, presented by Austin ISD and Workforce Solutions Captial Area.
