Reminder: Families Invited to Review Human Sexuality & Responsibility Lessons, Resources
Two days remain for Austin ISD families to review proposed new Human Sexuality & Responsibility lessons and resources, and to offer feedback. After completing the RFP (Request for Proposals) process to solicit vendors, AISD has proposed using the Get Real curriculum for grades 6–8, and staff has written the lessons for grades 3–5.
Budget Stabilization Task Force Meeting
The Budget Stabilization Task Force is a key component of the district’s strategy to address its growing budget deficit. The ad hoc advisory body will explore a broad range of actions the district could take to balance the budget in the next two to three years. School Choice Week Celebration
Austin ISD celebrates National School Choice Week by highlighting the abundance of choices within the district, with a focus on Early College High School. National Choice Week is dedicated to raising public awareness of the options available to students. Join the district at 10 a.m., Jan. 23 at Crockett Early College High School, 5601 Manchaca Road.
AISD Closed for Memorial Day Holiday
The Austin Independent School District will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday Monday, May 28.All AISD offices and schools will be closed.
