New Attendance Initiative: Supporting Our Schools (En español)
With the new district attendance initiative, your child’s attendance could mean extra money for their school. Why it matters: Improved attendance is not only essential better academic outcomes, it’s also directly tied to how the state funds Austin ISD. If Austin ISD increases attendance by just 1%, the district would see $4.5 million in additional revenue.

Know the Signs, Ask for Help
The number one priority for all AISD teachers and principals is the safety and well-being of our students. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is among the five leading causes of death for teenagers, and it’s critical to us that our school community can understand and identify the risk factors and warning signs.
