AISD to Update Eastside Memorial, International School Communities on Modernization Project
Austin ISD will host a virtual tour of the modernization project of Eastside Memorial Early College High School and International High School at the Original LC Anderson Campus to update the community on the progress of the new campus.
Cap Metro Extends the Summer Fun: All students ride free through Dec. 10
Now through Dec. 10 all students with a valid school ID can ride any Cap Metro transit free-of-charge—an extension of their summer offer of free public transport to all kids. To take advantage of this, students must show their school-issued ID to the bus operator or fare inspector. AISD Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
The Austin Independent School District will be closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Monday, Jan. 15.All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. The district will resume regular business and school hours Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Austin ISD Offers Eligible Students Free and Reduced-Price Meals
As in previous years, Austin ISD is encouraging families to apply for free or reduced-price meals.A new meal benefits application must be submitted each school year. While applications are accepted throughout the school year, to ensure benefits go uninterrupted, applications should be submitted by Oct. 2 to receive free or reduced-price meals for the 2017–18 school year.
