Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee (ESAC) Meeting
The AISD Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee assists the district in being a recognized example of environmental education, stewardship, and sustainability. The ESAC serves as an advisory body to the Superintendent, who is responsible for administrative decisions and for providing administrative and policy recommendations to the Board for approval.

En Español Device Access for All Students All Austin ISD students are able to obtain a district-supported device to use for school. PreK-2nd grade students have access to classroom sets of Chromebooks and 3rd-12th grade students are assigned a Chromebook (with charger and optional carrying case). Austin ISD Launches Caregiver Support, Community Learning Space Webpages
Austin ISD has launched new webpages to support Community Learning Spaces and caregivers as students begin learning remotely for the first four weeks of school, beginning Sept. 8. Austin ISD defines a Community Learning Space as a place outside school where a legal guardian takes the student to receive in-person supervision, access to digital resources and other support.

Austin ISD Recaps the 87th Legislative Session
The 87th Legislative Session has come to a close. The session had a real effect on how schools will operate in the coming year, between the passing of a bill that will revamp the social studies curriculum to inaction on a bill that would have allowed schools to continue virtual learning in the fall.
