TAKS Retesting Available In October to Out-Of School Students
The Austin Independent School District encourages all students who need to retest, or students who still need to pass a portion of the Exit Level TAKS tests to earn a high school diploma, to register for retesting on October 18-21, 2011. All testing will be held at campuses throughout the school district. Students may also register at their home campus on the day of testing.

Austin ISD Offices and Schools Closed March 13-17 for Spring Break
Austin ISD will be closed for spring break March 13-17. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. The district will resume regular business hours Monday, March 20. Sign-up for the Facility Master Plan public hearing at the Monday, March 20 special called board meeting will be from 1-4:45 p.m.
Austin ISD UpClose program celebrates 32 new graduates
More than 30 Austin ISD community members graduated today through the district’s UpClose program, which offers a front-row view of district operations. The 32 Up Close graduates completed a year-old program to learn about the district's infrastructure, programs and services, as well as the challenges and opportunities for improvements.
