Board of Trustees approve 2024-25 School Calendar
Austin ISD trustees approved the calendar for the 2024-25 school year during its regular voting Dec.14. The final calendar incorporates community feedback requesting additional faith based and cultural observances and staff development days:
Austin ISD Board Designates Election Day as Student Holiday
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved an update to the 2020-21 school year calendar, changing the Oct. 12 student holiday to Election Day, Nov. 3. To accommodate a student holiday for Election Day, the district moved the professional development day, previously scheduled for Monday, Oct. 12, to Nov. 3, federally recognized Election Day.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic - AISD Central Office
Students ages 5-11 can get their free COVID-19 vaccine this Saturday at a districtwide vaccine clinic hosted by Austin ISD and Vax Together Austin. School Health Advisory Council Meeting
The AISD School Health Advisory Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month, with the exception of July and August, from 6:30–8 p.m. Meetings will be held in a training room at the new AISD Headquarters located at 4000 S. IH-35 Frontage Road, 78704 unless otherwise noted. Membership to the SHAC is by annual school board appointment. Meetings are open to all interested persons.
