Austin ISD Teachers Named Finalists for 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards
Eight Central Texas area educators have been named finalists for the 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, spotlighting them as some of the best educators in Texas. Symphony of SXSW: Bedichek Orchestra Receives $22K in Musical Instruments from Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, StubHub

Coats for Kids 2018
Austin ISD has partnered with The Junior League of Austin to provide free shuttle transportation for Coats for Kids 2018. This year's event is 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. Buses begin picking up families at 7 a.m. and return every hour, beginning at 9 a.m. The last bus will leave the Palmer Events Center at 3:30 p.m.
