TEA approves 22 of 24 Turnaround Plans, final two on track for approval (En español)
Dear Austin ISD community, I’m pleased to share that we’ve heard back from TEA about the Turnaround Plans (TAPs) submitted in November 2025. What TEA decided TEA has approved 22 of our 24 Turnaround Plans (92%) without requiring any adjustments. Austin ISD families can rest assured their school district is one of the top in the nation in regards to the environment and sustainability, and it’s saving them money too. The Environmental Protection Agency named Austin ISD as the No. 2 Kindergarten through 12th grade Green Power user.
