Bowie Student Places Third in State UIL Journalism
Recent Bowie High School graduate, Carl Heiser earned a third place Bronze medal in News Writing at the May 21 State University Interscholastic League academic contest. Heiser was Austin's only state finisher in the 5A category.

LASA Student One of 91 in World to Earn Perfect Score on AP Test
Austin ISD congratulates Liberal Arts and Science Academy senior Sesha McMinn for earning a perfect score on her AP Spanish Language and Culture exam. When the College Board released details of the 2014 tests recently, LASA officials learned that McMinn was one of only 91 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam.
