Four AISD High Schools Earn National Ranking from U.S. News and World Report
Austin, TX—Four Austin Independent School District high schools are among the best in the nation, according to the 2012 U.S. News and World Report Best High School rankings. Liberal Arts Science Academy, Anderson High School, Bowie High School and McCallum High School earned national and state recognition in the annual report.

Help AISD Teacher Win $10,000 for Blast Literacy Program
Oak Hill Elementary School first-grade teacher Renae Hernandez is a top 10 finalist for a $10,000 grant called the Rather Prize, which annually recognizes the best idea for improving Texas education.The grant would go toward materials and teacher training at Oak Hill for a program called Blast Foundations.
