AISD’s recognition will continue throughout the month—and includes Salute on Tuesday, May 19, at the AISD Performing Arts Center.This is a wonderful opportunity for school communities to celebrate AISD’s more than 6,300 classroom teachers—and how they make a difference in the lives of Austin’s children.

Every year, AISD joins school districts across the nation in celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Week. This year, Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, and AISD invites families, staff and community members to help us celebrate the crucial role and essential contributions of AISD's more than 6,000 teachers and substitute teachers across the district.
