New deputy superintendent will align work of schools, academics teams (en español)
Austin ISD is excited to welcome Patricia Rodriguez as the district’s first deputy superintendent. Driving the news: The district is undergoing a reorganization of the former offices of School Leadership and Academics. To better align their work and improve support to our schools, the two teams are now woven into one under the leadership of the Deputy Superintendent.

Weather in Central Texas can be unpredictable and bring conditions that may impact our community and subsequently bring changes to Austin ISD campuses and offices. As inclement weather is predicted or approaches, Austin ISD will follow inclement weather protocols to determine if an adjustment to school or office operations is necessary to ensure student, staff and community safety.

AUSTIN, Texas—The Austin Independent School District will be closed for Spring Break, Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 14.All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. AISD Celebrates Doss Elementary School Groundbreaking
Austin ISD celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Doss Elementary School on Sept. 6 with families, staff, students and the community, including the Doss Owl. Superintendent Paul Cruz spoke 21-century learning spaces for students—collaborative and outdoor learning spaceswhere students can communicate and work together or independently throughout the school.
