Dear Austin ISD Staff and Community, Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! I have some great news to share that we received from TEA. This morning, the new school ratings were released, and I am happy to share that most of our campuses increased their state ratings from 2019. We are especially proud of the following schools that made major strides:
AISD to Host Free City-wide Electronics Recycling Event April 26
The Austin Independent School District will host a free, city wide electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 26 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Austin High School at 1715 W Cesar Chavez Street.Consumers are encouraged to bring their used electronics to the event for recycling; accepted items are listed below. TAKS Retesting Available In October To Out-Of-School Students
Austin, TX—Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills (TAKS) retesters, or students who still need to pass a portion of the Exit Level TAKS tests to earn a high school diploma, may register to participate in the October administration of the TAKS Test being held at campuses throughout the Austin Independent School District (AISD) from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21.
