Breaking down our Standard Response Protocols (En Español)
In honor of School Safety Week, we want to give extra attention to our Standard Response Protocols, including how campus administrators and Austin ISD police team up to keep your kids safe. We have five types of SRPs that are activated in the case of a critical incident on our campuses: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.
COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic - Crockett Early College High School
We have a free COVID-19 (Pfizer) vaccine opportunity available for our AISD Community, all family members included, 12 years of age and older. This opportunity is being hosted by Code 4. Walk-ins are welcome, appointments are preferred.

Austin High School Senior Angelina Gomez is charting her course toward a future of service and leadership with a move to Annapolis, Maryland to attend the United States Naval Academy. Why it matters: Gomez’s story is an example of what’s possible when students combine hard work, community support, and the drive to lead.
GENaustin to Host We Are Girls Conference at Austin High
Austin's Girls Empowerment Network (GENaustin) will hold a youth conference for girls in grades 5-12 on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Austin High School (1715 W. Cesar Chavez). This event is also open to parents, and will be a place that two generations can share a day of learning in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Remembering Sandy Hook: Keeping our Schools Secure Every Day
Dear AISD Community,Tomorrow, communities throughout the country will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Earlier this week, community members in Newtown, Conn. launched an online memorial, which features a simple and poignant design: a heart created from the first names of the 26 victims.

The Austin ISD Ad Hoc Budget Committee consists of members from standing Austin ISD committees. Each committee was invited to place two representatives to participate in the Ad Hoc Budget Committee. Additional members were appointed by Austin ISD’s Board of Trustees.
