How We Select Principals Generally, what we look for in a principal is based on the Austin ISD Leadership Framework : instructional leader; talent developer; executive leader; and culture builder. When we select a new principal, we go to the community and ask what characteristics they’d like to see in the new principal as well through a survey.

U.S Army "Blackhawk" Helicopter visits James Bowie High School
James Bowie High School students and faculty will have the unique opportunity to see a U.S. Army UH-60 "Blackhawk" helicopter land and take off from the athletic fields at 9 a.m. on Dec. 2.
