Sunset Valley Elementary will be celebrating their 40th anniversary by hosting two ceremonies on Thursday, December 1, 2011. Students Continue to Exceed State, National Averages on SAT, ACT
Austin ISD student continue to outpace their peers throughout the state on the SAT and ACT exams, according to data released by the College Board today.The district’s average SAT composite score of 1098 exceeded the state and the national averages at 1019 and 1070, respectively. Greater percentages of AISD students also met college-ready benchmarks than did those across the state and nation.

AISD Adopts Summer Efficiency Schedule for Six Weeks to Save Energy
Beginning June 23 and ending Aug. 8, Austin ISD will operate on a summer efficiency schedule to reduce energy costs. The district's average savings from the summer efficiency program is about $486,000.All schools and offices will adopt a four-day week during this time.
