Texas Education Agency Says AISD Exceeds All Targets of State Accountability System
According to the Texas Education Agency's preliminary state accountability ratings released today, 113 of the district's schools have Met Standard or Met Alternative Standard—the highest rating schools can earn—on the state's accountability system. Under the state accountability system, all Texas public districts, campuses and charters are assigned a label of:
AISD Selects Site for Districtwide Performing Arts Center
The Board of Trustees of the Austin Independent School District tonight voted to move forward with the purchase of a site for the district-wide Performing Arts Center (PAC). EDF Climate Corps Fellow Uncovers Energy-saving Opportunities for Local Schools
Austin ISD hosted 2015 EDF Climate Corps Fellow Maxwell Sykes this summer to help the district better manage its energy use and costs.
