Austin ISD Board Makes Election Day a Student Holiday (en Español)
This upcoming Election Day, Nov. 8, will be a student holiday for the current academic calendar year and the next, following a Sept.29 vote by the Austin ISD Board of Trustees approving the measure. Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah signifies the Jewish New Year and recalls the creation of the world. It is one of the two High Holy Days, the other being Yom Kippur. Austin ISD to Hold Information Sessions about Texas Academy of Leadership
The Austin School District's Department of Advanced Academic Services will host two information sessions about the Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities for families of advanced academic students in grades 6-10. The sessions will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 10-11 a.m., and again from 1-2 p.m., at the AISD Professional Development Center, located at 3908 Avenue B.
