AISD Will Participate in Austin Area Heritage Council Annual MLK March
Austin ISD will again participate in the Austin Area Heritage Council 27th Annual MLK March, Rally and Cultural Festival on Monday, Jan. 20, which will commemorate and celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

AISD Statement on ACLU Complaint
AUSTIN, Texas—The Austin Independent School District released the following statement regarding the American Civil Liberties Union’s complaint against the district:On Wednesday, just after 8 p.m., the district received a copy of the ACLU’s complaint, involving the Bertha Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy and the Gus Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy.
Test Kitchen: Austin Ed Fund Receives $550,000 Grant for AISD Food Services Pilot Kitchen, Distribution Center
St. David’s Foundation awarded the Austin Ed Fund $550,000 for a one-year project as part of its Nourishing Young Minds program. The grant will allow Austin ISD to pilot a small-scale, centralized kitchen and distribution center.
