Austin ISD Trustees Approve 2017–18 Instructional Calendar
At its regular meeting last night, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the district's 2017–18 instructional calendar. The calendar includes a TEA waiver to start and end the 2017–18 school year a week earlier.Three versions of the calendar, each along with a waiver version, were submitted by the Calendar Task Force and shared for review, input and online voting.

Dyslexia A to Z: Annual Central Texas Dyslexia Conference Provides Support to Educators, Families
The annual Central Texas Dyslexia Conference will provide support to educators and families throughout the state Oct. 18. The event is held each October in observance of Dyslexia Awareness Month. The event brings together families, educators, advocates, tutors, administrators and community leaders to learn how to best support the academic and emotional needs of students with dyslexia.
