AISD Board of Trustees Approve Principal Appointment for Doss
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment Dec. 17 of Nathan Steenport to serve as principal of Doss Elementary. Steenport most recently served as principal of Northwest Elementary School in Pflugerville ISD. He has been an educator for more than 13 years, including classroom teaching positions and serving as an elementary school assistant principal.

Austin ISD Summer Efficiency Schedule June 3-August 9 The last day of school is this Friday, May 24 for all Austin ISD schools, and beginning Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 9, Austin ISD operates on a summer efficiency schedule. All administration offices adopt a four-day week during this time. Business hours will be 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

AUSTIN, Texas—Today Superintendent Meria Carstarphen released a 30-minute "movie" presenting the annual report on the district’s goals, achievements and challenges.
