Dear Austin ISD Family, I want to update you on a complex but critical topic: our district's accountability ratings and the next steps we must take. This information is detailed and has significant implications for our entire community, so I want to be as clear and transparent as possible. This letter will cover three key areas:
Congratulations to our 2023 Teacher of the Year & Teacher Promise of the Year
Each campus selects a Teacher of the Year representative who exemplifies excellence in teaching and a commitment to our Austin ISD mission, vision, and values. Campus Teachers of Promise, each campus has the opportunity to recognize one teacher on their campus who is a first-year teacher showing great promise.
Teacher Incentive Allotment
Teacher Incentive Allotment in Austin ISD Austin ISD is thrilled to announce our official acceptance into the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) through the Texas Education Agency. TIA was created by the Texas Legislature to provide a pathway for top-performing teachers to earn higher salaries and help districts attract and retain highly effective teachers.
