Austin ISD 2024, 2025 accountability ratings show districtwide improvement (En español)
Dear Austin ISD Family, Today, the Texas Education Agency released the 2024 and 2025 state accountability results and while we’re seeing promising growth districtwide, it’s clear there’s still work to be done. Here’s what we’re seeing from the data from 2024 and 2025:

Austin ISD's Police Department is dedicated to the healthy development of students and employees. We strive to add time and resources back where they count—the classroom. Education is the ultimate mitigator of risks. Please take time to review each resource, which address the risks associated with various threats and hazards, including bullying, gangs and drug abuse.

Austin ISD mourns the passing of Nan Clayton, beloved trustee and namesake of Clayton Elementary
Austin ISD is saddened to share that Nan Clayton, former trustee, educator, and the namesake of Clayton Elementary School, passed away on October 24, 2025. Clayton was a long-time South Austin resident and community contributor. Her dedication to public education shaped generations of students, a legacy permanently honored by the naming of Clayton Elementary School in 2006.
AISD Names James Butler the 2014 Elementary School Teacher of the Year
James Butler is a prekindergarten teacher at Gullett Elementary School. He ensures that the school’s newly formed Pre-K program is up to standard with AISD guidelines and that the program continues to grow and serve as a positive addition to the Gullett community.
