We've added two enrollment clinics to help you get registered for next school year. On Monday, June 28 come out to Dobie MS from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., or 1-6 p.m., or come to Mendez MS from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. to get help registering your student for the 2021-22 school year!

The serpentine school mascot offering encouragement, instruction and even prompts for self-reflection to students on posters is everywhere, as are the reminders of the drive to celebrate the language that is home for the many students who trace their roots to Mexico and Central America.
Health and Physical Education textbooks open to family review
Austin ISD families can review health and physical education textbooks and provide feedback via a survey. Why it matters: This is the first time in 14 years that the textbooks have been revised. It’s also the first time in 24 years that the state has revised what it requires us to teach (what they call the Texas Essential Knowlege and Skills, or TEKS).

Austin ISD looks to tackle racial disparities in disciplinary data (En español)
Despite a reduction in overall disciplinary actions during the 2019-20 school year, Black students in Austin ISD were still nearly five times more likely than white students to receive disciplinary action, according to a report compiled by the district.
