Parent support specialists, volunteers, trustees, campus administrators and district officials came together to celebrate the accomplishments of 153 graduates from 22 campuses in Austin ISD’s 2026 English for Me program.

Update on School Closures and District Boundary Work (En español)
Dear Austin ISD Family, As we continue our budget conversations and plan for enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, I have heard your concerns and the uncertainty surrounding potential cuts and additional school closures. At last night’s Board of Trustees meeting, I shared my decision to suspend any additional school closures until we are able to further stabilize our district.

Austin ISD sees 7% jump in postsecondary readiness market since 2022 (En español)
New scorecard reporting data shows more than 50% of 11th and 12th grade students in 2024-25 were successful in a college credit course, a nearly 7 percent jump from 2022. This increase, which is expected to rise further by the end of the year, is the result of multi-year efforts to increase college, career and military readiness for students, ensuring graduates are ready for life after Austin ISD.
