Austin ISD to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in Virtual Event

Austin ISD is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, with a virtual kickoff celebration event highlighting the Hispanic diversity throughout the district.

Superintendent Stephanie S. Elizalde will be recognizing the rich Hispanic cultures represented in AISD. Participants will enjoy performances from talented groups from across the community. 

What: Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Celebration. A live virtual event celebrating the Hispanic diversity in Austin ISD. There will be performances by Lamar Guitar ensemble, Roy Lozano’s Ballet Folklorico de Texas and the Guateque Son band.

When: 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 13.
