Austin ISD to Host District Community Conversation Circles

Students, staff, families invited to share thoughts on reopening district

Austin ISD will host a series of eight virtual Conversation Circles to gain input on the district's reopening planning as staff prepares for a variety of education models that could be in place next year.

Campus facilities have been closed since March 13 due to COVID-19 precautions. A reopening taskforce, comprised of staff and community members, is currently looking at options to continue teaching and learning in a safe way for the 2020-21 school year.

The Conversation Circles will include a short presentation, followed by one-hour conversations in small groups. The meeting will conclude with a 15-minute facilitated question and answer session with academic leadership.

The Conversation Circles will have audience and language focuses for each meeting, however, anyone is welcome to attend.

Individuals can join the Zoom meetings with the following link and information:

Please note, to access the interpretation feature you will need to download the free Zoom app on your phone or computer.
